So in March of `00, I picked up a vehicle that would be perfect. But being a mini-trucker / sport compact car enthusiast, I couldn't just drive a stock car. I needed to do some stuff to this vehicle to make it stand out, and I think I've done that. Luckily most Accord parts work on this so I have lots of options for customizing it. I needed a video system for the kids, so that was one of the first things I did, but I also needed sounds so Kevin at Mobile Audio (480) 545-5087 put a system together that really fit my needs to a tee, and soon he'll remove the upper glove box and passenger airbag for the install of a Play Station II (in case you wondered why I don't have a DVD player, the PS2 plays DVD, so why buy a DVD player now, that I won't need in a couple months). I deal with a lot of different shops, so I've got to thank some people for the deals they gave me. Kwan at Apex - Tucson (520) 326-5310 came through with the intake and strut brace. Victor at Apex - Tempe (480) 967-6515 hooked me up with the ignition wires and plugs. Joe at Superior Racing Development (480) 317-0090 gave me the deal on the header, and did some minor mechanical work on the van. In July someone decided to break into my van and steal my TV and amps and sub, but thanks to my insurance company, Progressive, everything has been replaced. I definitely have to thank Sean Yeager at Concept AUTOWORKS (480) 967-3942 for the crazy a** custom paint job. Sean you are the sh**! I have plans for a custom interior, but with a new baby in the family (yeah, that makes 3) I'm gonna wait till after the doo-doo diaper, throwing up stage. Also I have plans for either a custom turbo, a Jackson Racing Super Charger, or possibly a JDM H23 non-VTEC with a custom turbo kit. Stay tuned...
